Options include Rye, an easy to sew water-resistant polyester. As well as being ideal for outdoor cushions, it would also be great for jackets as it has a lovely, soft fabric feel. And the price is amazing at just £7.00/m for 150cm/60-in wide cloth.

Our other PU coated polyesters are just the thing for making awnings, outdoor cushions, windbreaks and beach bags. They’re wide-width (150cm/60in) and water repellent (not waterproof). The PU coating ensures that colours stay bright, so it’s ideal for cheerful easy-to-make bunting for the garden. Simply add some herringbone tape to sew all your triangles together. Whitstable can easily be sewn using a size 90/100 Jeans machine needle.

Seasalter is a slightly heavier weight, so perfect for garden awnings/sails where you might need more weight.

All these fabrics are priced and sold by the QUARTER METRE (25cm). So, for 1 metre, add a quantity of 4 to your basket; for 2 metres, add 8 and so on.
