Artisan Apron Pattern
Artisan Apron Pattern
With these patterns from Janet Clare you can make and embellish your own crossover apron - and wear your creativity! The child size option means that mini-me creatives can also join in the fun. The aprons are ideal for sewers, potters, artists, bakers and gardeners.
The versatile and flattering style has a curved and crossover shape that allows the apron to expand, making it suitable for a wide variety of body shapes and sizes. The pattern is suitable for linen and cotton fabrics with some drape.
The Adult pattern includes a graded paper pattern sheet for UK sizes from 10-34. Sizes 10-26 need 2.25m of plain/directional 112cm wide fabric. Sizes 28-34 require 2.5m of plain 112cm wide fabric (3m if patterned/directional fabric). All sizes need 2m of 150cm wide plain/directional fabric.
The child size pattern includes a graded paper pattern sheet for sizes up to 10-11 years. Ages 2-9 years need 1m of fabric at least 112cm wide (and the same amount if lined). Ages 10-11 require 1.25m (and the same amount again if lined).
To embellish the apron you can use embroidery threads, and buttons, beads and brooches (not included).
